Unfortunately many patients forgo needed and urgent dental care due to cost often leading to greater problem and more extensive and expensive procedures down the track. Preventative care and early treatment is often affordable and a typical exam and clean to remove plaque and tartar, twice a year, along with a set of x-rays every 1-3 years (depending on your dental health) works out to be about $1.40 a day or $9.70 a week. Dental care can be affordable if issues are intercepted early.
To make things as easy as possible for you we provide a number of options regarding payment. The last thing we want you to worry about after your procedure is how to pay for it.
We offer HICAPS which is an electronic system that allows you to conveniently claim discounts immediately after your appointment. There is no need to fill in forms or submit your claim to your health fund. We accept payment from all major health funds.
If you are with a health fund, we recommend you contact them after you have been given your treatment plan to check your coverage level as discounts do vary depending on the quality of your health fund and your level of cover.
For larger treatment plans you are able to progressively prepay your treatment in advance similar to a lay-by facility.
Additionally, depending on the nature of your treatment, we may be able to space out treatment over a longer period or complete treatment in phases to make it more affordable for you. This would depend on the nature of your treatment and after discussion with your dentist.
Please give our staff a call if you want more information.
For larger treatment plans we are also able to offer payment plans through Medipay or MacCredit. The application is as simple as filling out an online form and treatment plans can be paid off from as little as $40 a week or in monthly installments.
We have found these payment plans are popular for procedures such as Invisalign, dental implants or extensive dental procedures.
After hearing your concerns and looking in your mouth to identify the cause of the issue, we will advised you of estimated fee before providing any further treatment. There is no pressure to undertake treatment on the same day unless this is your request.
After your initial examination we will provide you with a full itemised treatment plan in plain English with a breakdown by appointment, by cost and with item codes for health fund purposes.
We are neither the most expensive dentist nor the cheapest dentist in Brisbane and the fees we charge reflect the cost involved in providing quality health care that is not rushed, completed with quality materials and labwork which is not sent overseas. Our fees are reasonable and fall slightly lower than the average fees in Queensland.
If you have any questions about fees or your treatment plan we encourage you to ask our dentist or friendly staff.
