Unfortunately many patients forgo needed and urgent dental care due to cost often leading to greater problem and more extensive and expensive procedures down the track. Preventative care and early treatment is often affordable and a typical exam and clean to remove plaque and tartar, twice a year, along with a set of x-rays every 1-3 years (depending on your dental health) works out to be about $1.40 a day or $9.70 a week. Dental care can be affordable if issues are intercepted early.
